EQUINOX

I began Equinox on the Fall Equinox of 2021 and completed the clay on the Spring Equinox of 2022. The piece grew slowly between those two points of balance in the year.

Like Mutual, Equinox explores a gentle exchange between horses. This quiet moment could turn toward tenderness or attitude. For a moment, the possibility of either hangs in the space between them.

Equinox is a maquette for a larger work I intend to revisit.
