EVENTING TRIO

Eventing Triptych grew from my own experience in the sport of 3 Day Eventing, and the partnership developed between horse and rider through its three phases. Dressage asks for subtle communication, cross country for courage and trust, and show jumping for precision.

The time it takes to be attuned for all three phases of eventing is intense, but developing a partnership through them is incredibly rewarding.

Each sculpture is named in honor of an artist whose work has inspired me: painter Rosa Bonheur, painter Sir Alfred Munnings and sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington. All three devoted significant parts of their careers to the horse, each seeing and expressing the animal in a distinctly different way.
